Scooby-Doo Visits Riverdale: Boys and Their Dogs

Acrylic on 16X20 canvas paper (the fabric kind). Slight digital touch-ups on the edges (and to add the text, of course).

Jughead is my fave Archie Comics character, and Shaggy is my fave Scooby-Doo character (Scooby is a close second). With all they have in common, I thought it would be fun to see them share their favourite past-times: eating and hanging out with their dogs! And with all the times Archie has ditched Jughead for a date, I figured a little turnabout is fair play! Let *him* be jealous his best friend is hanging out with someone else!

I actually started this one around February 23rd 2011, according to an early photograph of it. I got waylaid by life so put it aside, lost it, found it crushed a year or so later, tried to flatten it but failed, left it on a table for ages, put it up on the wall unfinished, and then recently, with Riverdale airing, found myself wanting to work on it again. Two days ago, I decided to try to flatten it with an iron (and water), and more or less succeeded. I started back painting on it yesterday, and finished today -- almost exactly 6 years after starting it! XD
